• Dr. John Arthur - Associate Professor, USF Saint Petersburg. Dr. Arthur has been conducting research in southern Ethiopia since 1995, discovering how to interpret beer production from the ancient past. He has been invited to give talks in Japan, France, and Germany as well as prominent American institutions such as Rice University, Stanford University, and New York University. Recently, he was named a fellow in the illustrious Explorers Club.

SciCafé St. Petersburg is an informal discussion series for adults created by the Marine Exploration Center of St. Petersburg (formerly The Pier Aquarium) in 2009. Its purpose is to raise awareness and satisfy peoples’ curiosity about things scientific. The Dali Museum is the proud host of the St. Petersburg SciCafé in conjunction with the USF College of Marine Science and the Marine Exploration Center.
